Micro-Needling & Nano-Needling

What is Micro-Needling?

This procedure involves using an oscillating pen to insert short fine needles into the dermis layer of the skin for the purpose of rejuvenation. By creating a small wound, the skin is stimulated into producing both collagen and new skin cells. Depending on the depth of micro-needling, this procedure can enhance the absorption of product (by 3000%) and also clinically treat scars, wrinkles, age spots, skin texture, and pigment issues.

What is Nano-Needling?

This procedure also involves using an oscillating pen-like device to treat the skin, however the cartridge encompasses 81 silicone tips instead of needles. These microscopic hair-like cones separate the cells within the epidermis to allow active products to be pushed into the skin. Nano-needling only affects the epidermis, treating within the upper .15mm of the skin. The benefits of this serum infusion treatment include pigmentation reduction, increased cell turnover, skin rejuvenation and an immediate glow with no downtime. Great to do before a special event.

Free Consultation

A free 30 minute consultation is required before booking the procedure to answer any questions you may have and also determine whether this procedure is right for you.

How long does each session take?

Both Micro and Nano-Needling take approximately 45 minutes. If you would like numbing lidocaine cream before the Micro-Needling treatment then the procedure will take approximately 60 minutes.

What products are used during the procedure?

Each session includes infusion of hyaluronic acid, apple stem cell serum, an aloe vera mask, and essential oil hydrosol. For age spots and under eye puffiness two other serums can be incorporated (Occulus and Lumos).

  • Hyaluronic Acid: Naturally found in the body. Hyaluronic Acid has a high attraction to water. It holds water and hydrates under the skin. This fills in wrinkles and nourishes skin. Hyaluronic acid acts as your main base for Micro & Nano needling and is placed on the skin before using a Micro-needling pen.
  • Apple Stem Cells: These cells are premixed with Hyaluronic Acid to a 5% concentration. From special Uttwiler Spätlauber apples from Switzerland. These have been shown to encourage the proliferation of your own facial stem cells.
  • Occulus: An Algae from the coast of Spain. Used around the eyes and best used with Nanoneedling.  Shown in studies to break up bilirubin around the eyes, getting rid of eye bags.
  • Lumos: Another Algae from Northern Spain that is similar to Occulus but works best with skin pigmentation. Helps get rid of skin pigmentations and other colorations.
