Depending on the case, one or more of these modalities may be recommended. There is no additional charge when purchasing 60 minute existing patient treatment.

Cupping: A therapeutic method of treatment in which a practitioner uses suction to place plastic or glass cups on specific parts of the body.  The negative pressure created can loosen muscles, encourage blood flow, and sedate the nervous system. It is used to relieve back and neck pains, stiff muscles, anxiety, fatigue etc.

Gua Sha: A treatment method where the skin on the back, limbs, and other parts of the body is lubricated and a press-stroke is applied with a ceramic spoon or other smooth edged tool. The area is manipulated until the red papules become fully visible on skin. This treatment helps to promote healing by breaking up adhesions in the connective tissue and stimulating blood circulation.

Electrical Stimulation: A method of acupuncture in which an electrical current is applied to needles that are inserted in the body to produce a combined needle and electrical stimulus. It is very effective in the treatment of orthopedic conditions.

Moxibustion: A method of applying a heat stimulus to the body by burning the dried and sifted leaf particles from the herb mugwort on or close to the skin. It works great for relieving aches and pains by stimulating blood flow.

Tui Na: Therapeutic massage.
